FactFile About Talented Left back Brandon Williams
Norwich City completed the season-long loan signing of 20-year-old full-back Brandon Williams from Manchester United on Monday.
Manchester-born Williams joined United’s academy in 2017, where he went on to make more than 30 Under-18 Premier League appearances until 2019.
A breakthrough to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad came in March 2019, when Williams was included to travel with United to face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.
His first-team debut came early the following season, Williams brought on during a Carabao Cup game against Rochdale.
One week later, a first start beckoned in the UEFA Europa League against AZ Alkmaar.
Continuing to go from strength to strength, Williams then made his Premier League debut at Old Trafford as a substitute against Liverpool.
Shortly after, he got his first league start and earned the Man of the Match award against Brighton & Hove Albion.
His first goal for the Red Devils came in a 3-3 draw against Sheffield United in November 2019.
Across the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, Williams has now made a total of 50 appearances for Manchester United.
They included a UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg away to AS Roma, in which Williams played the full 90 minutes at right-back.
At international level, Williams made his England Under-19s debut in a 0-0 draw against Netherlands and his England U21s debut with a 3-3 draw against Andorra.
